We are very pleased to list this classic Humber Conservancy vessel.
Built by Brookes of Lowestoft in 1958 and was in service maintaining the buoys and light vessels on the Humber right up to 1991.
She is on the National Register of Historic Ships, No. 2111.
She's built from teak on oak and is hence quite low maintenance. The woodwork is totally unspoiled but has been well maintained and updated as required.

Based on the American Tenders from the 1920's, Kitikae was built by the famous Brooke Marine of Lowestoft Shipyard in order of Sir Cecil Sidley of Manchester. Built by Brooke Marine of Lowestoft (who went on to build the Virgin Atlantic Challenger) in 1974 she was Brooke Marine's the third to last Ocean Pirate 40 built.
Originally fitted with Cummins V8 engines she was used as a demonstration and trials support boat by Brooke Marine until being sold in 1986.
