What does this mean? The boat was built from the factory to a higher specification standard in order to comply with USCG regulations. Several safety, and structural items such as motor mounts, bilge pumps, and fire suppressant systems are accounted for in this process, and are listed within.
If you will be using your yacht privately, these safety features will be appreciated. If you choose to use your yacht commercially, not only is this regulation mandatory, it would allow you to entertain more than six paying guests aboard your boat at once, and allow you to sell your catch commercially.
This is a rare and valuable feature. If you were to take a standard Viking 55', and bring it into compliance, it would cost hundreds of thousands of dollars. Having a federally inspected yacht of this size will minimize your depreciation, and assist you in retaining a higher resale value.
Everything on this boat has been updated. The boat was just relaunched after an extensive refit. A full list of her upgrades and features to come. The current owner has had ownership in the yacht since new, and has operated this boat with an open checkbook. A full time captain has maintained her, and oversees the owners other yachts. All service records are available, and there was a survey completed in early 2018. The boat has never been commercially fished, but the owners have maintained the boat to commercial specifications, and have had her inspected by USCG annually.

In addition to being high performance upgraded Mercedes sport engines, these motors are also commercial grade. The engines have been detuned from 1550hp to 1150hp for longevity. By doing this, you also increase fuel efficiency to an astounding 16gph at 33 knots! Three larger than standard fuel tanks accommodate 1550 gallons. All hoses are extended life hoses made from silicone instead of rubber. All of the aforementioned items yield a significant insurance savings.
