A new build barge hull. Designed along Thames Sailing Barge lines approx 1/3rd scaled down version 55ft x 15ft.. Maintaining full headroom below of approx 8ft.
She has a brand new John Deere diesel engine installed and she has completed sea trails and sits on a mud berth mooring. Large rudder transom hung with hydraulic wheel steering from the deck. She has new steel, mast tabernacle, main mast and sprit, a new solid wooden topmast and a pair of new steel leeboards hung from her side decks.
She has chain and anchors. but requires:
a wardrobe of sails.
a mizzen mast, gaff and boom.
Companionway hatches aft and main.
Hatch boards / or a solid lid with sky lights over the main hold area.
Below some battening out of the accommodation has taken place
There is a huge quantity of steel blast bars laid under the cabin sole.
Temporary ply wood cladding has been erected in the main saloon so that she is habitable.
The service tanks have been installed fuel/ water / black tank hydraulic oil header tank.
No services have been installed,
She is a blank canvas. The project has been curtailed.
The owner innovator has got to move her on she would make a fantastic cruising home afloat.
