Built in 1988. GRP construction with white topsides and superstructure, non-slip decks, self draining aft cockpit with tiller steering, sugar scoop transom, masthead Bermudan sloop rig, 6 berths in 2 cabins plus saloon with around 6ft standing headroom.

1988, Fin keel, much loved and updated Moody 31 Mk II, inventory includes stack pack, full cockpit canopy, self tailing winches, plotters and tillerpilot, shore power, hot water, fridge, galvanic isolator and a recent preventative epoxy coating! Last survey in 2016.
Volvo Penta MD2003 28hp, three cylinder diesel engine with electric start to shaft drive with fixed 2 blade propeller. Single lever engine controls. Engine injectors were replaced in 2015. New prop shaft and cutlass bearing April 2019. New Morse gear cable August 2019.
2 x 12 volt batteries charged via engine alternator. (One new battery May 2019). 240v battery charger (supply cable changed July 2019). Shore power ring mains system (new cable April 2019) and immersion heater and full cabin lighting. Galvanic isolator (April 2019).
Compass, VHF Radio (Cobra DSC), echo sounder, log/speed, wind speed (Clipper), tiller pilot, GPS (Garmin 126), Furuno chartplotter, Navman chartplotter, radio/CD player, Navtex, clock and barometer, navigation lights and masthead tricolour light.
3 x Fire extinguishers, gas Alarm, radar reflector, distress flares, first aid kit, bilge pumps (manual & electric).
Stainless steel pushpit, pulpit and guardwires, blue hatch covers, blue sprayhood, blue cockpit canopy, 2 x Sheet winches (Lewmar 40ST), 2 x Halyard winches (Lewmar 14ST) and 2 x other winches (Lewmar 8). Boat hook, spray dodgers, blue sail cover, Spinlock tiller extension, Avon Redcrest inflatable dinghy, Simpson Lawrence manual anchor windlass, CQR anchor with 26m chain and 20m warp, mooring warps and fenders.
Mainsail (Jeckells), furling Genoa (Lucas), Jib (Jeckells) and Cruising Chute (SeaReach). Masthead sloop rigged, anodised aluminium deck stepped mast, boom & spinnaker pole, stainless steel rigging 2007 checked in 2013. Mainsail slab reefing and lazyjacks & Stackpack. Furling headsail by Furlex 2007.
Galley is aft to starboard consisting of a two burner gas cooker with grill and oven (Plastimo Neptune 2500), stainless steel sink with pressurised water supply (new pump 2018), coolbox converted to fridge (2018) and storage. Forward facing chart table. Separate heads compartment aft to port with a Jabsco marine toilet and wash basin. Fully upholstered in blue velour and curtains. Saloon floor is teak and holly.
There are 6 berths including 2 âVâ berths in the forepeak, her saloon has 2 single settee berths and there is a double berth in the separate aft ownerâs cabin.
"Nikita" was purchased by her present owner in October 2016. She was previously surveyed in 2013 and her owner had a pre-purchase survey in 2016 and also had the engine tested & oil analysed (showing very little wear). Her previous owner had just fitted new keel bolts. Since purchase her owner has made the following improvements and upgrades;
â¢ Old Anti-foul stripped completely back to bare GRP. Hull then expoxied (Hempel) to ensure protection . note that there was no indication of any problems with the hull- moisture readings all good and consistent but took opportuntity to protect Oct 2016- March 2017
â¢ Exsting hull stripes removed and re-striped March 2017
â¢ Coolbox converted to fridge (new plate , compressor etc) April 2018
â¢ Replaced pressurised water pump under sink with a complete new unit as diaphram worn and also found small leak on the inlet side
â¢ Changed NASA wind instruments to a wireless system â less prone to electrical failure

Overall she is a very nice example of the popular Mk II Moody, a super family boat with excellent sailing qualities.
