Walton on the Naze Essex UK
50ft Steel Barge - New to the market. Lady Alice is a steel barge measuring 50ft x 10'6. Originally constructed in 2001 by Evans and Sons in Hixon, Staffordshire, the boat remained part built and unfinished for some years. She is constructed of 12mm thick steel for the hull, 10mm for the sides and 6mm for the roof. The hull has been recently "blacked" and has been done every two years. She provides a generous 6'9" headroom.
The present owners purchased the boat in 2011, gutted the vessel and started the fitout from scratch. The vessel had the engine fitted in 2012. and she was sea worthy from this year. However, the present owners have never launched Lady Alice and she has been used ashore as a holiday home here at Titchmarsh Marina in Walton-on-the-Naze, Essex where she makes for a perfect liveaboard.
The Shanks 43hp diesel engine is however often run up and has 36hrs.
Lady Alice has been fitted out to a good standard. The layout starting aft provides an aft deck under which is the main engine. Going forward through double doors is the generous owners cabin with wardrobes. Along the starboard side corridor is the door to the good size bathroom, which contains shower cubicle, marine head (into a holding tank), and sink basin. Going forward, you enter the large open plan kitchen/living area which features a well fitted out galley with island unit, hot and cold water , fridge and plenty of storage. The living area will include the sofa bed, TV and armchair. heating is provided by radiators. Going forward up two steps is the foredeck..
Lady Alice is immaculately presented. She is only for sale as the owners have now relocated to Spain. The boat is ready for a new owner
