Stunning example of this iconic Broom 10/70 from 1984, a rare example with a single helm as with later Brooms making the saloon more spacious, a cocktail cabinet and perfect tv shelf in lieu of helm. If you're not familiar with Broom they are renowned for their outstanding quality, a fantastic, practical, fun and safe family boat with wide enclosed decks and the accommodation you would expect of a much larger boat.
Powered by twin Volvo TMD40B diesels (130hp) on shafts, serviced annually the engines run beautifully and very cleanly, not too big they are extremely economical and you don't draw a plume of smoke behind you cruising down the river yet will push her onto the plane and will make 17 knots, they sound lovely! 2 x 80 gallon stainless fuel tanks with new guages and senders. With a semi displacement hull it is easy to handle at river speeds as well as being sea kindly.
Accommodation comprises a twin V berth in the forward cabin, a forward head with sea toilet and fresh water flush, there is a 36 gallon stainless steel holding tank too. The galley has a full size cooker with 4 burner hob, grill and oven (2016), twin sink with hot water from a 65 litre twin coil calorifer with immersion (2014), water tank 80 gallon stainless with guage, microwave and 240v/12v Waeco fridge. The saloon is comfortable and spacious with bespoke fitted blinds (2018 they save the woodwork from UV and give superb privacy), the sofa makes into a double berth and is in excess of 8 feet long. There is a spiral staircase leading to the aft deck and down to the luxurious aft cabin where there is a comfortable double berth with a new quality mattress and a large en-suite shower room, there is a new jabsco de luxe electric flush toilet but is not fitted as will require a seacock to be reinstated next lift.
The aft deck is enclosed with a canopy in excellent condition, seating for 5 plus with a well equipped helm including a recent Raymarine e series 7 touch screen chartplotter/radar.
There is a comprehensive cruising inventory and additionally the cutlass bearings were replaced in 2017, 5kw diesel heater 2019, shore power, window screens, anchor etc etc.
The boat is in fantastic condition inside and out, mahogany woodwork superb and unfaded, no leaks, spotless bilges, she really is hard to fault and ready to cruise, Boat Safety Cert until 2024.
The superstructure has been compounded and polished, if not lifted before survey I will compound and polish hull plus antifoul for new owner. Lying Brundall.
