Pedro Boat BV â based in Zuidbroek in North East Holland â has been building motor cruisers for around 35 years and still remains under family ownership. The Pedro range has undergone a gradual expansion, and now stretches from the Pedro Marin 30 through 32, 35 and 38 foot models, up to the new Pedro Levanto 44 flagship. A workforce of around 55 people produces 60 boats a year. Most of these models feature a stern cabin (situated under a raised aft deck) and share a reassuring âtraditionalâ look. These steel cruisers are not aimed at the âflat out planing brigadeâ â rather, they have an enduring appeal to those who like to enjoy their cruising at leisurely displacement speeds in boats that bring an approving smile to the face of knowledgeable onlookers. The 32AK available here is built in 4 designs. The Aft cabin model such as Savarna is particularly popular for extended live-aboard in only having 1 main cabin forward, The Saloon features a comfortable âloungeâ area leaving the traditiAccomodationGeneral Layout
The layout of this boat is displayed in the plan. To summarise this craft benefits from 2 helm stations, 1 in the Saloon and a second on the Rear deck .From the Rear deck easy access is made to the wide side decks. Steps lead down to the saloon which is of open plan design to the rear cabin, in the rear cabin the galley is located to port and a dinette to starboard, this converts to a double bed. The Main saloon features a sofa and adjustable table to starboard with sideboard and inner helm to port. Forward a further 2 steps lead to the heads and Sink on Starboard and shower room to Port. Forward again is the Master cabin with double bed and stowage.
Coating Systems / Paint System,
Two component nonslip paint on the decks and gangways, Pedro striping on hull, Hull shot blasted and protected with 2 part epoxy coated primer - internal and external Two component enamel paint system - sprayed (Awl grip paint system) ,Hull below waterline 2 part epoxy system primer. Antifouling, Engine room painted in light colour.
Freshwater System.
Automatic pressurised water pump with expansion tank: Hot water via calorifier and Immersion Heater
Gas Installation.
Gas bottle with pressure gauge. Gas piping in copper with gas taps to all appliances. Bubble Tester to Bss certification. Gas compartment vented and lockable lid.
Electrical Equipment.
Bipolar electric wiring circuits, all groups secured. Separate start and domestic groups with diode block with changeover switch. Control panel with circuit breakers (hinged). .
Engine System
Freshwater internal cooling system with Keel Cooling system and Dry exhaust. Hydraulic steering system. Stainless steel propeller shaft with water cooled bearing and flexible coupling. Sound damping and speed increasing 4 bladed propeller. Sound proofed engine compartment.

The Duchess is virtually a one owner from new vessel.
We bought the Duchess in October 2008 from the Thames and Kennet Marina and she has remained on our mooring there ever since.
Duchess is in pristine condition.
She is one of the last Pedro 33's built in Holland in 1988 Hull ID 932 to high specifications for a fastidious owner.
In 20 years she had completed only 565.2 engine running hours (now 567.2) She has been maintained to a very high standard.
Having looked at many Pedro's over the years this one stands alone for a boat that is 21 years old but looks and feels like a new Pedro.
Our reasons for selling is a sudden change in our personal circumstances. |
